Department of Public Policy

Estonian School Student Councils’ Union has two main priorities: to have a say in education policy issues on national level and to develop student councils’ movement in Estonia.

The aim of the Department of Public Policy is forming ESCU’s political platform, compiling official documents, issuing opinion articles and ensuring constant participation in formation of education policy. Our duty is to ensure that students’ opinion reaches wider audience and problems concerning school environment and studying would find solutions.

The department is separated into two working groups: Working Group on Education-based Integration, which task is solving problems concerning integration in education and Working Group on Student Policy, which develops and spreads student-friendly policy.

Short and long term objectives of Department of Public Policy:

  • every school has an operating student union, which is a member of ESCU;
  • ESCU is consistently developing in the educational landscape and education policy;
